Geregu has undertaken several infrastructure projects, including the renovation of classroom blocks at Community Primary Schools in Ebiya/Ogigiri and Adogo, and the construction of a hall with two classrooms at Community Secondary School for Geregu Village. These efforts enhance educational facilities, contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education. Additionally, the regular clearing of weeds along the express road from Ajaokuta town to the plant ensures road safety and security, aligning with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

In 2019, Geregu constructed four portable motorized boreholes in Ajaokuta Native Town, Geregu Village, and Wimpey, and reactivated faulty water supplies to the New German Camp Estate and other adjoining estates. These projects ensure access to clean water, contributing to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, which aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

In 2022, Geregu donated relief materials worth millions of Naira to victims of the flood disaster in Kogi State. This humanitarian effort provides immediate support to those in need, aligning with SDG 1: No Poverty, which aims to end poverty in all its forms everywhere.

Geregu’s sustainability drive is evident through its ongoing projects and regular community engagement. The bi-annual organization of safety sensitization awareness programs in Ajaokuta Native Town and Geregu Village ensures that residents are informed and prepared for emergencies, promoting a culture of safety and resilience.
Geregu’s multifaceted contributions to Ajaokuta and its environs demonstrate a profound commitment to community development, sustainability, and societal well-being.
